Quincy's Bita Blue

An eye for a good horse --- it takes time, good teachers, the desire to learn, and the willingness to honestly evaluate. That is what I was taught by some great horsemen and horsewomen. I am Kathy Whitacre, half of the team that operates Whitacre Quarter Horses and Paints in Stratford, Oklahoma. I love horse breeding, studying pedigrees and genetics. It has been my lifelong passion.

Many years ago I owned a western pleasure AQHA stallion named Black Bar Bailey. It was at the time that the National Snaffle Bit Association was founded. Out of a total of 109 foals, he sired 34 performing offspring earning over 2900 AQHA points in all divisions combined. One of his ROM daughters that I raised, Justa Bita Bailey AQHA, has been on APHA's leading dam list with five of her seven foals earning 440 points in Open, Amateur, and Youth events.

In February of 2006 my husband Bub and I made a move to live a dream in Oklahoma. We bought a ranch with 80 acres of beautiful bermuda grass--just perfect for raising foals. We have 2 stocked ponds, old growth pecan trees, and plenty of hunting for my husband. What we found here is more than we hoped for. The people here are helpful and kind---our neighbors are a joy.

The search began for a special stallion to become the center of our breeding program. We were extremely fortunate to have found Justifiable in August of 2006. Justi is a 2003 N/N palomino overo stallion by the great AQHA stallion Mr Be Downtown (4 Time AQHA/PHBA World Champion). His dam, Par Te Time Rose (74 total halter points), is a daughter of Par Te On, owned by Three Roses Ranch of Utah. We are thrilled to have a conformation stallion of this caliber. He has a remarkable hind leg balanced out by his front end. Justifiable has earned Open and Amateur Halter points with Grands and Reserves at Halter in very limited showing. His disposition rivals his beautiful color---pure gold. Justifiable is entered into the APHA Breeder's Trust and is also nominated to multiple stallion service auctions, which are listed on Justi's page.

We welcome you to stop and visit!
